educational culture
We are committed to providing supervised, hands on learning for residents. Senior residents and faculty have been trained to observe resident skills with patients and to give formative feedback to improve. We are dedicated to trainee competence in the core skills needed to effectively care for medical patients. Our program benefits from its charter membership in the ACGME's Educational Innovations Project (2006-2016) which relates resident learning to patient outcomes and safety.
You will notice this difference in our learning culture as soon as you join our team. Observers will give you feedback towards independent practice from day one.
PHYSICIAN WELLNESS
Our program has identified the importance of physician wellness and is dedicated to the well-being of our residents. Your well-being as a physician is vital to a patient's outcome.
We have tools to assess your well-being and to compare your well-being to other residents nationally. Below you will find resources to help you be proactive about your personal well-being through both your residency training and career.
